Exwick
Exwick is Exeter’s north-west neighbour, across the river from central Exeter and reached via Millers Crossing or the Exwick Bridge. Riverside playing fields, the Exwick Heights residential lanes, and the start of the Exe Valley Way cycle and walking route that runs north to Brampford Speke and beyond.
What to do
- Exwick Playing Fields – cricket pitch, football, and the start of the Exe Valley Way cycle path.
- Millers Crossing – pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Exe to Bonhay Road, links the city back to Exwick neatly.
- Cowley Bridge – where the Creedy and Yeo flow into the Exe just north of the city, sometimes a flood watch point in winter.
