St Thomas
St Thomas sits south of the river from central Exeter, the working side of the city. Cowick Street is its high street – a long stretch of independents, pubs and the Mill on the Exe pub on the riverside. The Splash Pad in summer is one of the city’s best free things for families.
What to do
- The Mill on the Exe – riverside pub on Bonhay Road, good for a Sunday lunch on the water side.
- St Thomas Splash Pad – free water play in Cowick Barton Fields, open May to September.
- St Thomas Pleasure Ground – the local park, with the historic St Thomas churchyard alongside.
- Cowick Street – independent traders, pubs and the lower end of Alphington Road.
